Bunk Beds Reignited The Romance On Holiday

I recently took a trip on a cruise ship, I know this is something that is normally done by people of an older generation, but I had been offered an amazing deal so really couldn't pass the opportunity up. I'm not normally one for being stuck on a boat in the middle of an ocean. I get very claustrophobic and worry that I can't get off. However, the latest band of cruise ships are so big you don't really need to worry about getting claustrophobic.

One thing I wasn't quite expecting though was the bedding situation; I'd decided to take my girlfriend away for a relaxing and romantic break. However, our romance got stunted as soon as we made it to our cabin as we were confronted with bunk beds. After five minutes though, when I had finished ranting about it we did manage to see the funny side of it though.

We unpacked the suitcases' and decided that it was only fair to play a game of rock, paper and scissors for the top bunk. My girlfriend won and I had to go on the top bunk. It was interesting when we thought back on the first night. Neither of us had been in a bunk bed since we were teenagers and it almost seemed as though we were back as teenagers for the night, we spent ages talking to each other between the two bunks, messing around and poking our heads out from the side of the bunk. Strangely it was like young love was reborn in the bunk beds that night, some of the playful and enjoyment that we had been missing reignited in the room and the stress drifted away.

I've never enjoyed sleeping in bunk beds, but it was without doubt the most enjoyable night I've ever spent in one and not because of any sordid reason. We woke the next morning and suddenly it was like we were a young couple in love again, walking down the deck cuddling and kissing. Maybe sleeping in separate beds can be good for a relationship. If so maybe there will be a whole host of bunk beds on order on the internet in the near future.

The rest of the holiday seemed to pass by in a blur, but I was glad that we still managed to enjoy the romantic and relaxing break even though we had been stuck in bunk beds for the whole week.
